Politics

I follow world events, politics, and military activities utilizing mainly open-source intelligence channels and independent news rather than the very biased popular news channels. I keep my political opinions to myself and ensure my family is prepared for potential issues that arise. Lots of political things going on right now.

Where does everyone live?

A good friend of mine visited there last year and hiked in the area where they filmed Lord of the Rings. He said it was amazing!

Favorite thing about Forum Spark

I love that @Cedric focuses on improving already great features rather than adding new feature after new feature. More platforms should make better the already existing features rather than keep trying to create new ones.

Social media marketing

I use Buffer as well. The forum admin and forum promotion niche is hard on social media. Usually, other niches do better. Most forum owners are on forums haha

Staff Titles

In the past, I’ve used “Forum Owner” and “Forum Staff” as my titles. That let people know who I was and it made staff equal in their titles. I think that’s a good practice. Too many different titles can lead to too many egos.

Politics

New Zealand has their election tonight and I'm excited that we are going to hopefully no longer have the three headed snake (we've had three parties in coalition for the past three years). Our election system is extremely different to the US and instead of one big party in control a government can consist of multiple political parties. Do you follow politics?

Favorite thing about Forum Spark

I just love the overall feel to it. It brings nostalgic vibes of platforms such as Zetaboards.

Social media marketing

I've connected the Spark Promotion X, Bluesky and Facebook page to Buffer so I can cross post but I'm not a huge social media fan (apart from Facebook) so I don't use then a lot or to their full advantage.

Gizmo

I couldn't imagine any other platform or software for Spark Promotion. Its fun and lets me focus on the community more.

Staff Titles

On PopFuse all staff have the same default staff group and then they have their role group secondary. I like things basic and simple there.

You Forum's Niche

That’s a good couple of niches to get into. 🙂 I know you’ve always been into entertainment quite a bit!
